At one point I had both Zenitar and Pentax 17-28 fisheye zoom. Zenitar had
to go, but not because of any quality concerns. I did a little
quasi-scientific test to justify selling the Zenitar and didn't see much
difference between it and the zoom at the widest setting. Now, what does
that tell about the Zenitar, my eyesight or anything else? :)

Re: Sigma 16mm f/2.8 fisheye c1980's

Hi William

Do you have the Zenitar? Would you rate it as good as the camera
manufacturers own lenses?

I want the 180 degree fisheye, not circular and the Zenitar fits the bill
nicely, just concerned about the optical quality and some of the feedback
of
the eBay dealers that sell them. Could you recommend anyone in particular?

Best regards,

John
