I'm looking at an MX and the damaged pentaprism that was replaced in it a while back. There is no need for any mirror external to the pentaprism; it implements the aperture window image internally. All that's needed is an opening in the top cover of the camera housing at the right spot. The MX has this, of course, with a piece of glass mounted in the opening to make the front surface flush, and avoid exposing the pentaprism physically. -tih -- The basic difference is this: hackers build things, crackers break them. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
