I agree and I'm surprised that they still haven't plugged the hole in the fixed FL lens line up they've created. We have new zooms and now effective duplicates of the current macro lenses but still nothing fixed and fast at around 24mm (the FA*24/2 just doesn't cut it for me on the *ist D for a variety of reasons).
