Cleaning the protective glass in front of the laser is the cure. (dust on the glass). DOn't know about the Frontiers, never seen one, but it's something to look at anyway. This is presuming that it isn't the processor that is scratching the paper, from your post, I don't know if the scratch is running in the same direction as the paper moves or at 90� to it.
