Frank!

A story for another time... I shall be waiting for it! <very big grin>

What, out of curiosity, is your longest telephoto?

I have a 70-200 zoom by some manufacturer I am not sure of (the lens is
totally unlabeled, and I bought it many many years before I understood
that quality matters. Still, it doesn’t do a bad job). But, back to the
point, I have thought about getting a longer one, but am not sure how
long is really useful.

Does the horizon tilt more in longer lenses?
<GRIN!!!>

If I want to see naval types, I go hang around the
docks in Halifax, the home of Canada's Atlantic Fleet
(such as it is). There, you get to see Men in
Uniforms! Sometimes I bring my longest telephoto, and
get as close to the Navy Drydocks as I dare, to watch
burly young men with their sleeves rolled way up,
wielding large tools.

Sometimes I go into the bars and...

Well, that's another story for another time.

cheers,
frank
