The S20 is not so bad at 2400 dpi. I had one for a year and a half, and
after figuring how to get full 36-bit output, was quite pleased with the
results. I replaced it with a RFS3600, not needing the panaromic of the
S20. However, with just 24 bit output even at 3600 dpi, I don't think the
results are much better once reduced to web sizes. Unless you plan on doing
digital printing, and need the extra resolution, 2400 dpi is better than
1200dpi from a flatbed. Also, since the S20 is last generation, the prices
are starting to drop.

Cheers,
Gerry
