When I view a single photo from any album in the left pane, at the lower left there is, just following the image Title, a Date window, showing when you took the photo. In the same space, just after the date, there's a 6-digit number.
Like this: 9/20/04 130017.
What the heck is 130017? It's not time related, because the time it was actually taken and this number don't match.
The number changes upward each succeeding photo.
In one session yesterday, over a period of 2 hours, I took 17 photos, the first photo started out with number 125921.
Four photos later, it jumped 5000 numbers, from 125xxx to 130008, and the following 13 were in the 130xxx sequence.
Dude - it's the time. 125921 is 12:59:21, 130008 is 13:00:08 etc. Since you said you took the photos over a period of two hours that didn't correspond to the times represented by those numbers, I would guess that those are the times the files were copied to your Mac.
