It got shelved. The word was that the market overtook it and it would have been overpriced/underperforming compared to the competition by the time it hit the market. Given the one review I have read of the Contax DSLR, which used the same DALSA sensor, I expect excessive power consumption (very short battery life) was also part of the equation.
