I think I might give it a try when I get home from work, I'll check for 
protruding rear element first of course. 

I've also found Sigma very helpful I once snail mailed them asking about the 
availability of certain lenses and they replied stating that if Pentax took a 
greater market share in the near future they would make the 70-200 f/2.8 and 
300 f/4 in Pentax fit. Shortly after this Pentax released the MZ-5 and the 
rest is history.

My messages don't seem to be appearing on the list at the moment!
