They come up at that price fairly regularly Mishka if I'm not mistaken. 
I think I've even seen an engraved one that was a bit cheaper. That and 
a 75/2.8 could come to just a bit over $300 which is sorely tempting. 
There are quite a few kits going on ebay and photo.net and the like 
which are generally considerably less than the sum of their parts.
