I don't find the shutter release button in the BG-10 to be misplaced, at 
least for my hands.

By the way, the shutter release button in the BG-20 grip (*ist film 
SLR), is at the end of the grip, as Nick prefers, but I find it less 
comfortable, at least for my hand & wrist.
