I did some experimenting in the house last night,and this may be the case. I think i may have had the camera still on AF-S after i changed from the 28-105. Even in the warm house,if i was OOF a bit it would not fire. Looks like there is more of a learning curve from the Nikons than i thought. Thanks everyone. Dave
