As Doug points out, sometimes it's a very big deal indeed. There are times when the last thing you should be paying attention to is a photograph that you've already taken. And in any case, any time you're looking at the review screen you're not looking through the viewfinder, so you could miss a shot. Just how big a deal that is depends on what you shoot.
