Hi Rob -
I've heard a lot of negatives about shallow DOF and an impractical film holder with the LS8000. Of course - you never know if what you hear is accurate or not.

Why not pick up a used 8000 at a bargain basement price? Comparisons reveal no
optical benefit of the 9000 over the 8000.
