Oh don't get me wrong, I had several close ups, but just not the ones they wanted. This one got picked because he was engaged in conversation. The lighting was terrible, so I had to use the ceiling to bounce the flash, making it difficult to move in and out of the right range without getting in the way. Next time though, I'll spend most of my time on closeups like you say.
