A good story to indicate #2 is a Wal-Mart I was in down in Charlotte. The guy
behind the counter came across the lab to talk to me dragging a customers
fresh
out of the machine film along the floor behind him.

In Shel's incident it sounds like #3 as I can not imagine him doing business
at
places like 1 & 2.

I ended up liking Action Photo (Concord) because it's an independent run by
two brothers who take their business seriously. And I built up a relationship
(of sorts) with both of them.

In other words, they wanted to please me (one slightly more than the other,
so I liked to wait until he was free to give my stuff to him -- although I
couldn't always do it).

I am not having film done anymore, but they have incorporated digital, so I
am thinking of having some digital blown up large. Larger than I can print.

A lot of wedding photographers use them. Maybe that is one way you can tell.
Wedding photographers, naturally, need their stuff to come out okay. And if
they don't, they will take their business elsewhere.
