I may have looked at them in the wrong order, as I just commented on
"view 2" a few minutes ago.  I like that one better.  I find the
houses a bit of a distraction, and they take the sawmill into the
present, whereas in "view 2" the photo is timeless - no visual cues of
modernity.

I also like that the water seems to dominate the other one.

Not that I don't like this one, I just think that the other is a much
more powerful shot;  this one seems to be more of a snapshot (not that
that's a bad thing...).
