Well, yes, naturally.   The lens doesn't know what material the sensor
is made of - film, CCD, CMOS, whatever.  If an image is in focus on a
piece of film at a given distance from the lens, you need to put an
electronic sensor in exactly the same place to get an in-focus image.

(Note that the register distance of K-mount lenses is not the same as
the register distance for 645 or 6x7 lenses)

You wouldn't necessarily be able to use K-mount lenses with a 40x40mm
sensor without vignetting; you need a 43mm image circle for a FF 35mm
sensor, which might not cover the 56mm of that larger sensor.

Too late - I suggested a body capable of accepting all those lenses
a few days ago in an earlier post to this thread.
