Cats are extremely disposable.
I have never had one break. I would expect the handler to bring
the dog back under verbal contol very quickly. With Leica, it
doesn't matter what she is doing, if I shout "DOWN" within her
range of hearing, she hits the deck and stays put until I tell
her to move. This kind of control takes a lot of time to
develop. I have been with working her since she was a puppy, so
she has over 4 years of obedience training now.
