I picked up an ME-F on ebay a while ago, and it had the mirror locked up. I sent it off to two repairers (including CR Kennedy) and they returned it as unrepairable, citing lack of parts.
A small shop in the city did take it in and fixed it within a week, replacing the mirror lock lever, and servicing the mirror box. Has new light seals too. The AF indicator doesn't work though. Oh well, I'm not too worried about that.
Yay. Now, what's this brown stuff I have to put in the back again?
