like it or not, most potential buyers in the price range where the *istD and 
*istDs sit view megapixels as the primary spec. people who choose the high 
speed cameras like the Canon 1D or the Nikon DxH bodies know there is a lot 
more to getting good images than megapixels.

The 20D is only 8 megapixels. That's an almost insignificant difference. 
And the viewfinder is crappy. I would hope that the next APS Pentax is a 
considerable step up from the 20D. In fact, as K Takehita (sp?) mentioned 
in this thread, the *ist D is in many ways a better choice than the 20D.
