I agree on the 400x600 but I didn't want to exclude people
with slower connections. It was more of an enjoyable break
from the res testing than a 'test' itself.

I disagree on the arbitrary objects part, they are very
useful to 'me' as these are the types of things I use
lenses for. Resolution tests are fine, but what really
counts is whether I like the overall results.
Someone who likes to shoot plants and such might have got
more out of these informal snaps than a thousand 300% shots
of my neighbors roof! I know I did. ;-)
I might have res tested the 35-70, decided it was average
and never picked it up again, now I'll use it.
I'll give the DA 16-45 the same informal test, the 'formal'
test has me convinced it's just a pretty $400.00 paperweight.
After some 'real world' use I may even like it again.
I have a bad habit of getting so scientific that I forget to
take some pretty pictures once in a while, I have to stop
doing that.
