Working in retail selling cameras and TV's I have no problem with someone looking at an item or asking a question or two, at least if we are not overly busy. It's part of the game. Don't take up 2-3 hours of my time then announce that you can buy it on line for $20 less and no sales tax. That goes back to my prior comment of playing fair. And please don't come back after purchasing on-line to have me show you how to use it.

I wouldn't. My time is just as valuable to me as your's is to you. :) Most people that would do that are not normal people in many many ways most likely. It's not just that they're cheapskates. It's probably that they're inconsiderate of others in general.
I can think of a number of acquaintances that have quirks that drive me insane...
The friend or relative, that when going out for a meal, has to know exactly how the food is prepared and what's in it. Oops, don't like that. Start the process again on the next menu item and the next, and the next. Then finally decide and still change individual ingredients. Waiter at the table for five minutes just to take that one person's order.
The friend that asks for PC buying advice... I do research to help them (spending quite a deal of personal time, not getting paid a dime)... and then they listen to some 17 year old.
The friends that you make plans with and they call you up at the last moment, saying "Do you mind if we aerate our lawn? Our neighbor rented an aerator and offered to let us use it". Hours later and most of the day gone they show up and we drive to whatever public event we had planned to visit. Except now it's over in 30 minutes.
The person at church who's son is a bully to our son. We put up with it, instruct my son how to handle it, and endure it for months even years, until it comes to a head and my wife calls the parents. The other mothers response is: "Well it's partly your fault you know, you should have said something sooner".
OK, I feel a little better now.
