Nothing personal meant in this reply Martin, it just made me think of something.Hi all,
is it possible to take out the matte screen from a MZ-5n (ZX-5n)?
I see a small gap at the outher edge which might be there for any (special?) replacement tool.
There's a small grain of dust just in the center of the screen which is really annoying - on the inner side.
Are there any service manuals around how to clean this body?
I did not see any replacement matte screens for the MZ-5 - thus I wonder whether this part is exchangeable easily.
Thanks,
Martin
I am sure that you will get the reply you are looking for, but it will not be from me - though I can look at my ZX-5 and MZ-5 and find your answer...
You should spend some time looking through some of my viewfinders, especially on my LXen, they are not the prettiest to see. You will be very happy with yours :-) I found out early enough that spots in the viewfinder, though annoying, are easier ignored than trying to clean. I have ruined a couple of screens and/or mirrors in my early years in 35mm photography.
I have also picked up a screen or two for my LXen that were not in the prettiest of conditions. I saved money and ignored the flaws and used the screens to my advantage in my picture taking.
Again, nothing to add to this thread, just rambling while working on a website,
