Come on, there are a lot of professional photographers who don't know the first thing about the technical aspects of photography, the automation is good enough these days that you really don't have to know much to get a technically good shot. It might be sad that traditionally necessary skills aren't needed but very very few pro photographers are fine art types where the last 1/3 stop counts in an exposure.
