I agree with Kostas that the SF.. bodies are much under-rated and
therefore very good value.
However (having just replaced my old Super A (Super Program) on Ebay for
next to nothing, for purely nostalgic reasons), I have to say that the
Super A is a superbly designed and beautifully small camera, whereas the
SF.. cameras are lumbering tanks by comparison.
The SF.. bodies are well-made, sturdy and competent. The Super A is just
a lovely camera.
Yer pays yer money, and yer takes yer choice. If you don't need
auto-focus, my choice would be the Super-A.

Welcome!
- are the flash units for the Super Program still easy to find?
Yes, very. Your options are listed in
http://kmp.bdimitrov.de/flashes/TTL/index.html
- are they the same as for the LX?
Yes.
- any chance of mounting a thread-mount lens on the Super Program and
still enjoying TTL flash metering??? Otherwise, I will have to start
buying K-mount lenses...
No idea :-(
Are there other Pentax-camera's that I should consider and that are
available on the second-hand market?
In my opinion the best bargain is the SFXn/SF1n.

It does all the Super-A does and a whole lot more. It is very
uncelebrated and can be had cheaply. On the TTL flash department, it
*also* uses the following flashes:

p.s.: I assume you are familiar with Auto flashes; not quite as
automated as TTL, but still fairly usable, and suitable for all
K-mount cameras.
