Right. I am still trying to find an optimal workflow for myself, but even working ad-hoc it is a good improvement over plain CS. I quite like the 'auto' settings on RAW conversion, that get it right about 90% of the time (on my subjects anyway, YMMV :-) The other goodie is working with RAW files converted to DNG. The conversion can be done batch-wise quite easily, and working with them makes disk management easier since they take less space, and do not require a seperate .XMP file for the RAW conversion parameters. (most of that might have been in the previous CS version too) I have decided to switch to DNG RAW format for storage and processing, since they save so much space and are more convenient. The only info that goes missing is specific Pentax stuff about lens details. (exact lens name and such) which is not that imnportant to me. The collections of RAW files I have converted sofar (a few hundred) have gone from an avarage size of 13.2 MB to about 5.2 MB ... Regards, JvW PS: There is lots of good info on CS2 in the new book by Tim Grey: "Photoshop CS2 Workflow" available from Amazon ... ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jan van Wijk; http://www.dfsee.com/gallery
