Hi Rob, here's another option. Use the mailing list feature of groups.yahoo.com
It is quite flexible, you can enter all the email addresses to the group, and you can set it up so that only the group owner or moderator can post to the group. And this should work well for your friend, and he can post from anywhere.
Gmail will not work, as it will lock your account if "suspicious" activity is detected.
