> Neutral gray is 80/80/80, not 75/85/80 some such. Neutral gray is not always 80/80/80
Let me explain: 1. We pick up an object that we both know is neutral gray 2. Take it to a room where the lighting is not neutral (almost everywhere) 3. There we have a hardware calibrated monitor displaying an image of something that is neutral gray in color 4. We put the object side by side with the monitor image and compare the two 5. We will both come to the conclusion that the monitor is not calibrated right as we won't see the image as neutral gray as we should see (although matematically it is) I can't put it clearer than this.
