Cotty, I think the idea of this was an attempt to get people at all levels involved, i.e. you might only have a camera phone but you can take meaningful pictures too. If they had given everyone 7k digicams it becomes a bit of a 'this is what pros can do' exercise. We already know what they can do with the equipment of their choice; just type any of their names into google :-) Interestingly the episode you saw (of the three so far) I thought was the weakest. To me, the first ep was the best and produced some of the best pictures. I think it depends very much of the photogs involved and in a few cases it forced them to think outside the box. I felt both Joe Cornish and Eamon McCabe managed to produce some strong images with a mere camera phone. Not so sure about the guy this week though :-) If you get a chance to look at the website (and vote for Billy of course!!) take a look a the 'Be Inspired' section and see some of the previous efforts (we've had 'North' and 'East' so far).
