you are lucky that the copy operation worked. if you ran ImageRecall on the copied contents, it didn't do anything for you. the filesystem and files were intact and just needed renaming. it's useful only on the original drive itself.

Since I couldn't see the files in the pathfinder I copied and pasted the
folder (CF0024) to my harddrive - later back again to an empty CF card. The
latter becauce ImageRecal 3 won't scan less than one drive at the time - I
can't scan just one folder. Renaming didn't work. But ImageRecall did. All
20 filees are recovered .- only one is damaged (banding).

how did you move them to your Vosonic? you should clone a copy of the drive with a drive recovery program, doing a sector by sector copy and ignore all
errors. then you work on the copied image. if you made any changes to the
drive in any way, you can trash what is there. let's hope you got lucky.
renaming the files should be enough.

The continued story of a supposedly not very good CF card named FUJIFILM

...Now I managed to move the files to the computer via my Vosonic portable
harddrive.
And I managed to run a "Windows fault finder" facility, so I now have af
folder called FOUND.000 containing my 20 "images" .
The FOUND.000 can only be seen in ACDC, not in the Windows path finder.
The
image files are alledgedly .CHK files which are re-made file fragmnents.
They are each 13-14 MB files and supposedly PEF files, made in Norway.
Can I doo anything the retrieve these images??? Aren't there some computer
experts on the list that could help, please?
