Well, I have thought and thought about how to go about doing this.
You see, I have a huge dilema and I am driving my husband nuts on
what to do. I want to be able to take good shots of indoor TKD tournaments
and
also just use the camera for ordinary things too. The equipment I have
is:
Auto Focus:
ZX50 Pentax Auto Focus Camera w/ 35-80mm lens that came with it.
2x AF Teleconverter Quantaray
Achiever 260AF Flash
Manual Lenses:
28mm 1:2.8 Focal MC Auto
80mm-200mm 4.5 Focal Macro
135mm 2.8 Hanimex
75mm-200mm Sakar Macro 1:3.8X
Screw Mount:
SP1000 Pentax Screw mount w/ 55mm 1:2 Takumar lens
Today I went to a Photo store to try to find out what the Manual lenses
were worth. Well we got to talking and they think that I should get a
different camera body for these lenses and use them. But.. I really like my
ZX50 not just because it has auto focus and other thrills on it but .. well
I just like it..
Anyhow.. I truly feel that I should sell these other manual lenses.. all
except for the screw mount cause I really like it too. and invest in one or
two lenses to use with my ZX50.. one of the things that I want to get away
from is changing out lenses when I am shooting something.. It would be nice
to just use one lens for everything. but then again.. I dont have 2,000 or
more dollars to spend on something like that either.
Bascially all I am shooting is tournaments and my younguns doing silly
stuff. Sometimes at the tournaments I am not very close to the subjects and
my 35mm-80mm just does not get close enough, even with the teleconverter.
Also, I have used the manual lenses on the ZX50.. outside the pictures turn
out wonderful but inside is a totally different story.. and I havent a clue
as to a good manual flash to use when they are on the ZX50.. the AF260 will
not work when I have these lenses on it. So.. I am kinda lost.. I have
looked at all the advice I have gotten from ya'll about the different
flashes and it has helped but.. I still feel clueless.
Why this email to the group? well I am hoping and praying ya'll can give me
some really great advice here. yes it would be nice to have another camera
body but in all reality why should I spend more on a body? because then I
would have to get the winder too that advances the film. and that would be
something else to worry about not functioning correctly.
As you can see I feel like I am going in circles.
Would someone be willing to try to tell me how much these 4 manual lenses
are worth, individually? I sure would appreciate it. And also.. how much is
to much to spend on a Me or Me Super?
Any help or light at the end of a very dark tunnel ya'll can send me sure
is appreciated!!!
