I can't remember who suggested it to me, but I used to hang my film in the shower. Run the hot water for a while with the door closed & extraction fan off, let the steam build up a little, (to help settle any dust) wait for the steam to clear then hang the film up. I had more problems with dusty / dirty negatives using a proper drying cabinet than I ever had hanging it the shower. Just my (limited) experience.
