i prefer Grain Surgery because in addition to being very good at removing noise, it also can add it back to emulate lots of kinds of film grain. there are times when it's worth doing. it comes with profiles for a variety of grain patterns from various well known films.

I am pretty happy with Noise Ninja. It is certainly the best I have tried, and it has profiles for the D, up to ISO 1600.
