Hey, Well, I took the advice of several on the list and bought a Wein adapter in hopes of powering some Novatron Lights. No good.
How I tested: 1. Put flash adapter on hotshoe 2. Camera in manual flash mode. 2. connect to Novatron lights via pc connector. 3. Hit shutter at various settings, including manual, AV, TV, nothing from Novatron via pc connector. Shutter speed 1/60 s. 4. Hit test button on adapter - Novatron lights go off! 5. Put Vivitar 2850 on hotshoe of adapter -works fine. Put Wein adapter on KX. Able to power both Vivitar flash and Novatron lights via pc connector. Read and re-read manual for camera to increase pressure behind eyeballs. Any ideas? Any custom pre-sets or any other settings? I am not getting this at all. It seems to me per No. 4 above that the camera is communicating through the pc connector, that the adapter is mounted properly through No. 5 above, that the connector circuitry is correct via my experiences with KX.
