Elements 4&5 alone produce a soft focus 50. However the aperture mechanism is left exposed. Adding element 1 turns it into a macro.
BTW Element 3 is a real bugger to get out. It is glued to the rear of the cone that 1 2 3 are all attached to. I had to put the cone in a vice and lightly hammer it out.
