Cotty, you could pop over to Bath and see one or two in person. Seriously. They're not quite as tall (yet), but they do have a redwood and a sequoia in the Royal Victoria Park in Bath, England. Planted there 3-4 hundred years ago after explorers brought seeds back from the new world :) We were surprised (to put it mildly) to see these trees in Britain while walking through the park a few years ago. -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
