The quality of the F 70-210/4-5.6 has been debated a lot here. Some claim it is very high (due to an alleged "unadvertised" LD element), while some others of us (I included) find it not to be very special. It has been suggested that the sample-to-sample variance may be high for this particular lens. Fred
