Maybe for 35mm, with which I made a fine living for 37 years. But for my 
67ll? Tripod.

That's PJ philosophy (and I ought to know), but does not translate to studio, 
macro or most ~deliberate~ field work; that is, if your reference is to out 
of focus images. Besides, such thinking irks ~my~ professional ethic.
