Was this a recent picture or one from early last spring?
Actually mine was taken last April, the last snow.

What's interesting is that mine was shot in June and is a juvenile which
makes sense (it had probably just fledged judging by the fluffy feathers
on the back). Yours is a winter shot but shows a bird in breeding plumage
