Sonny, lovely stuff! You've made some wonderful images there.
About the lens, I know everyone raves about the 50/1.4 primes (with reason), but I got the FA 50mm/1.7 for two reasons: it weighs two ounces less than the 1.4 (minimizing weight is important to me), and I only paid about $90 for a near mint lens on ebay, about 9 months ago.
