And here is the info, direct from the horses mouth, err... keyboard:
The Grandfather Mountain site has new info regarding registration for the 2006 Nature Photography Weekend. Please note that the earliest registration date has changed from January 1st to FEBRUARY FIRST. They're working on the website to permit registration with credit cards and it won't be ready in early January as originally hoped. I do expect the event to sell out promptly. Fore-warned is fore-armed.
There has been a question regarding our having E-6 processing available. The traditional run to Iris Photographics in Asheville will NOT be made by our staff. Our contest next year will be all digital (and only digital). Contest entries (on our supplied CD) must be turned in by 4pm on Saturday. Of course, entries prepared from film camera images then scanned then burned onto the supplied CD will be acceptable. File names and sizes must be changed/adjusted in accordance with yet-to-be-published rules. So, there might be a film opportunity after all, but processing will not be available by us, as has been the case for 20+ years.
The plan is to have the rules published on the grandfather.com website on February 1st (or before).
