I thought/think the term has come to mean simply checking the shots you just took in the field... we had a discussion a while back on the list about who chimped and who didn't (at which time I asked your question - though I kinda got the idea from a couple of things that were said) I think it is a cute phrase and goes nicely with "monkeying around" :) ann
