ERNR, 'Worst thing that can happen to a MAN' because most of us don't know how to cope with the problem. We can make a plan to work our way out of our other problems, or figure out somebody to get mad at, but not when your child is sick. Moms (women) are expected to be nurturing and know how to do it.
