Easy. Cut your costs in half. What would normally require two separate shots of a 
28-50mm, will now be captured by only one shot. :) (Mostly kidding on that one.)
Seriously, when I got my Cosina/Soligor 19-35mm zoom the other year, it quickly became 
my preferred lens.
I often shoot in crowded situations, be it crowded places with a lot of people, or 
city architecture where no other lens will do.
Yes, it is often difficult to use with good results. But there's got to be a challenge 
to shooting too :).
Unnatural? What has "natural" got to do with anything? :)
And also, I kind of enjoy the distorted perspectives you can get with it. (And of 
course Photoshop comes handy for correcting some of the distortions, if needed.)
