Thanks for looking and commenting!
The sky on the last shot is actually a bank of fog coming against me. 
The scene was back-lit, but not by a sunset. I think the paleness is 
quite accurate, but I agree with you; it would have been a more 
"classic" shot with sunset-ish light. :-)
