Cleraly to get a shorter focusing distance than the usual. It's actually
very nice when you are travelling. To be able to photograph small items like
a flower, a map, a plate of food or whatever real close up. I don't remeber
seing this lens before either. At 80 USD it's worth trying out.

Emne: Macro in A 70-210 f/4 ?

I am curious of what is the purpose of the "macro" range on this
a 70-210 /4 lens:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7579235076&ssPageNam
e=STRK:MEWA:IT
- see the second image in the first raw:
http://i18.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/c3/47/14_1.JPG

KMP page doesn't mention any macro capability of this lens.
Is this a variation of the lens, or what?

I've noticed this when that auction was still active, but was
afraid to violate the rule related to pointing to an active eBay auction.
