Shel, you can flash somebody with it. :-) Speaking seriously, - some people use flash as a convenient format to create short clips/movies/animations. Flash movies don't have to be viewed via web-browser plugin. There is a standalone flash player. (I believe, it might be even possible to pack a flash clip with a viewer- to have an executable file that is self-sufficient, but I don't remember). Some of my colleagues create short animations with it for their scientific presentations. Igor
