The Refconverter-M is exactly the same. The Ref-M came out during the ME/MX/LX era. However, when Pentax brought out the Super program (Super A), it must have found that the little LCD panels at the bottom of the finder window were hidden by the Ref-M's baffle, so it just cut a little notch in the baffle to let the LCD's show, and merely renamed it the Refconverter-A. They are otherwise identical, as far as I can tell. Fred
