I've had the black 43mm and 77mm for a couple of years now. The 77mm
is regularly in my bag if not on the camera. I treat my gear
respectfully, but am not a fanatic about maintaining everything in
pristine condition. Not abused but not babied either. I see no problems
with the finish on the lens. Ask me again in 4-5 years...

particularly fragile? Susceptible to "bag wear" (abrasion from the

It seems pretty good. My black 31 has taken a couple of hits with no
apparent damage to the finish.
